Ed Staren
Partner
Ed leads investment strategy and underwriting for MHP. He began his career as an Investment Analyst at Welltower and later served as CEO of several hospitals and a system CSO within Tenet Healthcare, giving him a rare blend of payer, provider, and operator perspective. He has executed more than $1B in healthcare transactions and brings a thesis-driven approach to sourcing, diligence, and post-close value creation. He holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois and a JD/MBA from Chicago-Kent. Ed serves on the Finance Committee for the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC).
Ryan Harper
Partner
Ryan leads portfolio operations, driving strategies that accelerate growth, strengthen operational infrastructure, and unlock efficiencies that support scalable expansion. A former health system COO, he has overseen multi-facility, multi-service-line operations and delivered measurable results, including more than doubling EBITDA, reducing operating expenses, expanding service-line volume, and sponsoring major capital projects. At MHP, Ryan has led acquisition, divestiture, and diligence efforts. He builds post-close operating systems and reporting frameworks and has served as an interim C-suite leader for multiple healthcare platforms. Ryan teaches at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona and a master’s degree from Duke University.
Jeremiah Reardon
Partner
Jeremiah leads firm management and portfolio enablement, translating investment theses into day-to-day operating systems. He began his career at Cohen Financial, supporting institutional asset management and analytics across large, complex portfolios—experience he leverages to bring discipline to budgeting, reporting, vendor management, and integration. At MHP, Jeremiah stands up the data layer, procurement discipline, and the monthly operator council that ties KPIs to results. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri.

Tim leads business development and sourcing, building long-term relationships with founders, clinicians, and referral networks across MHP’s target sub-sectors. He fosters a culture of founder-friendly deal process management—from first conversation through LOI and partnership close—and for creating win-win structures that align mission, clinical quality, and growth. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and is active civically as a member of Executive Council Charities and a board member of Synergy Public Schools.

Isaak Newhouse, CPA
Finance & Investment Manager
Isaak supports firm finance and portfolio companies on FP&A, reporting, and transaction execution. Previously a Manager in EY’s Financial Services Audit practice focused on insurance and private equity, he has worked across emerging and Fortune 500 organizations. Earlier, he led financial reporting and underwriting for a multi-market investment platform. At MHP he owns close-to-board-package workflows, integration models, lender reporting, and KPI normalization. Isaak is a licensed CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, and an M.P.Ac. from Butler University.
